21st Century Deliverance, by Leslie Shaw Holzmann
The house looked good, it was a Christian home
But, the foundation was built without insight or understanding
The sands of presumption and spiritual pride eroded it
My children became the victims of my ignorance
While loved and trusted, the man’s greedy acts visibly gouged their young
spirits
I was hopeless and alone
My emotions imprisoned by unfair treatment and bitterness
I cried out to God for help
He snatched me out of Satan’s trap
God said, “I will inspire you with My Word and establish you with my love.
Remove the debris one piece at a time making space for my incredible grace”.
This poem is dedicated to my daughters, Nanci and Leanne. Their love, tenacity, grace and wisdom continue to inspire and bless me!
